WELCOME TO A RUNTASTIC 2013!
Exhibiting your work at Runt Space or the Link wall is a great way to extend and promote your art practice and to try out exhibiting your work in a gallery. Not to mention Tuesday night openings are a fun way of getting to know other students in your class and the wider university, and to proudly enjoy your work on show!
PROPOSALS FOR SEMESTER 1 ARE DUE THIS THURSDAY 14th MARCH
Proposal forms can be found in the 2nd and 3rd year studios, or from any of the 3rd year RUNT team below.
Please hand your forms into the Fine Arts office, opposite the lunchroom on the 2nd floor, or to any of the Runt team.

THE NEW RUNT TEAM 2013
As a little introduction to the new faces of Runt, the new team is as follows-
Tace Kelly is our new lovely chairperson. Please ask her if you need any assistance or have queries about a prospective exhibition!
Moz Lucas will be helping with filing and sorting applications
Tim Buckovic is going to be assisting with all OH&S concerns
Madeleine Thornton-Smith is helping to run the new Runt/Link blog, with interviews, artist information and photographs of upcoming openings and exhibitions
Maya Chakraborty and Jacqui Gordon will be documenting all the latest openings through photography on the Runt/Link blog
Isabella Kottek will be promoting Runt and Link through social media, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
Candice McGaw will be your go-to contact person, contactable via our Runt and Link email
James Taylor will be helping to keep you in the know about our latest shows, through advertising and promotion
First Year representatives: Kabir and Charlotte
Second Year representatives: Kon and Dominique
TO CELEBRATE THE NEW RUNT YEAR WE WILL BE ENJOYING DRINKS AND NIBBLES AT THE RUNT SPACE THIS TUESDAY, 12th MARCH, AROUND 5pm.

Come to the Opening/Benefit Night for the event this THURSDAY 4 OCTOBER
There will be food, booze, music, projections and a big bunch of SICK art.
This will also be an AWESOME OPPURTUNITY TO BUY TICKETS TO THE AMAZING RAFFLE THE FINE ARTS STUDENTS HAVE ORGANISED

RUNT ZOO! A great success!
The gallery's Runt Zoo Open Day event was a great success. The weather gods were kind to us (despite the wind... both from the skies and the calf) and the numbers were large - both in animal and in human form.
Runt made quite a name for itself, drawing attention from visitors across the whole campus.

RUNT ZOO
RUNT ZOO is coming to OPEN DAY!!!!
RUNT ZOO
With their parallel lives, animals offer man a companionship which is different from any offered by human exchange. Different because it is a companionship offered to the loneliness of man as a species.

Our subliminal collective fears and desires aside, the fact is simple: everyone loves a petting zoo. For the 2012 Monash University Faculty of Art and Design Open Day, the Runt/Link student committee welcomes visitors to a PETTING ZOO, which has been plucked from the typical dusty setting of the royal show or community fete and relocated to the soon-to-be-not-so-white cube that is Runt Space. Celebrating the myriad of opportunities afforded by an art education at Monash, Runt Zoo will be an ideal space for forging interaction between current and potential students/artists; embodying notions of community and what it might mean to enter the world of art today –- a world largely characterized, in recent years, by a focus on human interaction in the face of our ever-alienating late-capitalist society.

SEMESTER 2 !!
And we're back. This semester is going to be INTENSE! Runt and Link are hosting a line up of great student shows that continue to showcase the progressive works of Monash Art and Design students.
This semester we are looking forward to the reinvention of Runt's facade which has been a project the committee has been slowly working on and is starting to gain momentum.
Also in more exciting news, the Faculty has been kind enough to ask Runt Link to host a mega-cool event for the Monash Open Day on Sunday, 5th August. MORE DETAILS WILL BE RELEASED SOON - IT IS VERY EXCITING!!!
We are looking for any Faculty of Art and Design students to come and help the committee out on Open Day so please feel free to shoot us an email, facebook or tweet (at runtandlink@gmail.com) if you're interested!!
