RECENT SHOW- RUNT SPACE
Briony impressed us all with her recent interactive exhibition at Runt Space, Monash Caulfield, running from the 22nd-26th April.
The show consisted of several volunteer 'workers', creating colourful shapes out of playdough, paid by the hour in eggplants or prime beef, depending on the personal preferences of the volunteers.
The result was an unpredictable collection of sculptural shapes, scattered playfully throughout the plinths and tables occupying the room. Briony's show was a creative and innovative use of space, examining different modes of sculptural practice, audience involvement, the idea of craft and the handmade.
